Learning to train our puppy with Alex has been such an incredible experience. She is patient, articulate and incredibly knowledgeable. I was nervous to bring a puppy into our home and wasn’t sure how he would fit into a life with lots of kids and crazy schedules, but Alex immediately calmed my concerns and helped me find ways to incorporate dog life into our family life in really fun and natural ways. Our dog is able to enjoy such a full life of playing and exploring and being a part of the family because we can trust him and he trusts that, and that is because we trusted Alex. 100 percent recommend.

I have a dog that has an extremely short attention spam and can be very high strung. Alex was able to pick up on this immediately and work with her in a way that made her feel comfortable and safe. I was doubtful anyone would be able to stop the barking at other dogs or lunging, but she was extremely patient and offered tools that have helped, and it is incredible the change I have seen after just one session! I highly recommend 🙂

All I have to say is thank you so much Alex for your help! My dog had aggression issues towards other dogs and he’s been like that for years now. I called World of Dog Training South OC and scheduled an appointment with Alex. I thought my dog wouldn’t listen or respond to commands, BUT within minutes after Alex arrived my dog was responding & listening and Alex gave me and my daughter some excellent K-9 knowledge & training of why my dog is the way he is and how to go about helping him live a better quality of life. I rescued a terrier-mix puppy recently. After researching lots of dog trainers online, I found the World of Dog Training website and was very impressed with Ryan Matthews' knowledge and passion for dogs and dog training. When Ryan came over to meet and observe my little guy, he gave me lots of helpful information, and referred me to Alex Mena. Alex is AMAZING!!!! When I brought my puppy home, he didn't know how to walk up and down stairs, which was a problem since I live on the second floor. He also didn't know how to take walks with a leash. I would put the leash on him, and he would just sit on the grass, and wouldn't walk anywhere! He also didn't understand basic commands, like "sit, say, down." When we started our lessons with Alex, within the first couple of weeks, my little guy was RUNNING up and down the stairs, loving walks on a leash, and obeying commands! Alex had great ideas for training my puppy!!!! She is very knowledgeable, understands dogs and their behaviors and her love for dogs shines through. When she explained things to me, I understood what she meant, and was able to apply her suggestions to our training sessions. I highly recommend Alex. So happy & thankful that I came across Alexandra for Dog training. She is amazing to work with and very skilled. She helps with the basics and exceeds with so much more! Alex was a wonderful trainer! She worked with us and our dog Hula. We learned so much. She was patient and caring while instructing. She answered all of our questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dog trainer. I look forward to possibly taking more advanced classes with her in the future.

Alex is pure medicine to peanut butter and my soul!! My 74 pound 8 month old pittie baby boy adores Alex and respects her…as she created a wonderful foundation for my PB and I to communicate and understand each other! She is a wonderful teacher! I highly recommend her broad and train. My PB was with her for 2 weeks and he’s a changed boy 🙏 Everyone has noticed PB is much more calm and behaved 🙏 So as a huge testimony to Alex’s greatness I received PB back on the 4th of July and with the fire works he wasn’t reactive to the fireworks! I met dog trainer Alex Mena when she and her partner came to me as a dog training client for two of her dogs. Having trained dogs since 2002 I have come across a few people that have a natural ability to train and handle dogs. When I met with Alex and Jason during the demonstration/meet and greet I was immediately impressed with her knowledge of dogs and confidence.
